Day 2: Lectures/thoughts..
John Plowman the (hat man); The art of being a creator.
Essentially the point of this lecture was to provoke thought in not only your work but the space in which it's displayed in which i found to be a more than fair point to further convey the message of your art, because surely to be an artist is to question everything and provide visual and analytic response to provoke a thought in a fellow human being, then why not surround them with the message or a complimentary environment. Yes this got me thinking and i will surely take into account at a later date when my project has at least taken much firmer roots.
'Not completely sold on the idea of a dramatic environment in fear that it may take away from my illustrations and perhaps may be more complimentary to an installation.. food for thought right.

| I didn't the lecture hosted by the manchester dj, because electronic music is never something i've felt very inspiring artistically. I prefer harsher darker music in the forms of extreme metal (Death/Black metal) In which got me thinking about local manchester acts and the first of which was local underground black metal 4 piece Winterfylleth who create dark and atmospheric music focusing on nature and what it means to be british which is interesting in itself. I sahll be attending a local gig of there's in the northern quarter this thursday.... for research.. honest. |
